The West Bank's Secrets. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel or cruise ship to cross the Nile to the legendary West Bank. The drive takes you past lush green fields that contrast sharply with the desert cliffs of the Theban Necropolis.

• Valley of the Kings: Your first stop is the burial ground of pharaohs. You will enter three beautifully painted tombs, seeing colors that have survived for over 3,000 years. Tip: Ask your guide which tombs are currently open to get the best variety of artwork.
• Temple of Hatshepsut: Next, visit the stunning mortuary temple of Egypt's famous female pharaoh. Rising out of the limestone cliffs at Deir el-Bahari, its modern-looking design is an architectural marvel.
